In the past month, there have been two incidents of vandalism at Stonefield Development offices, which are adjacent to the Coto Valley Club.
On August 4, Stonefield Development staff discovered there was no running water at the office. According to Bob Pack, president and founder of Stonefield, an eyewitness saw “a group of 6-8 teenage boys riding scooters and skateboards at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2. They were jumping the meters for the Club and (Stonefield’s) offices.”
On Friday, July 11 at 3:30 p.m., Pack said his staff discovered that a “fire had started on the back wooden stairs of our office building, which was starting to up the wall. The fire department was called and they extinguished the fire, removed a couple of the steps to ensure it was all out and placed a yellow tape barrier for safety. It was fortunate that it was a weekday during business hours and we were able to discover it early and no one was hurt.”
Stonefield staff filed a police report on August 4 regarding both incidents of vandalism. According to Pack, the sherif advised the Stonefield team to not engage any party if they witness malicious behavior and instead call 911. He asked to share this information with the Village community to help keep the neighborhood safe.
