The South Orange County Fire Watch is now recruiting new volunteers for 2017 from communities adjacent to Audubon Starr Ranch Sanctuary, The Reserve at Ranch Mission Viejo, Cleveland National Forest, Riley Wilderness Park, Caspers Wilderness Park, and O’Neill Regional Park.

Volunteers will be trained Wednesday August 23, 7 – 9 p.m. by Battalion Chief Bill Lockhart of the Orange County Fire Authority at Ladera Fire Station 58.

Volunteers serve as deterrents and lookouts during Red Flag Warnings, extreme fire conditions that usually occur September through November but can occur ANY time of year. Fire lookout sites are limited to easily accessible locations that have good views of wildland preserves.  Help your community – become a Fire Watch Volunteer!

The clubhouse is throwing their doors open THIS SATURDAY, June 3rd, for everyone to stop by and enjoy. The facility has undergone significant renovation, so drop in anytime between 5-10pm, check it out and enjoy the festivities.

There is something for everyone and everyone is welcome!

Our new Property Management Company, Crummack-Huseby HOA Management Services, officially arrives on board with us today, June 1st. Our property manager, Dana Davidson Harle, just emailed to us the following welcome letter, below. If you have not signed up with them Online, we encourage you do do so. Instructions are included in their welcome letter.

As a reminder to all of you that have set up monthly assessment payments through your own financial institution, you can certainly continue in that manner, but please remember to update your payee instructions accordingly.

REPRINT OF WELCOME LETTER from Crummack-Huseby Management Services to Coto de Caza Community Association Members, June 1st, 2017:

>>> Greetings Coto de Caza Owners,

Welcome to the Crummack Huseby family of customers! We are excited because our contract to begin working with your board of directors and to serve your community begins today!

By now, you received your billing statement for the June assessment. This first billing statement does not reflect any credit or outstanding balance you may have on your account. Once FirstService Residential closes out its books we will be provided the account histories and all accounts will be updated accordingly. Going forward, you will receive your billing statement during the 3rd week of the preceding month in which an assessment is due.

If you haven’t done so already, please go to our website at www.ch-pm.com to create your login for your assessment account. Once on the CH website, select “CH Connect” at the top bar and then “CH Connect Enhanced” at the drop down. You will then be able to use your email address to create your login credentials. From there you will be able to view your payment history, sign up for e-statements, online auto-pay and access Association documents.

For those of you who have already signed up for ACH (auto-debit), we will be processing the June payment during the week of June 12th. If you have any questions regarding your billing statement or whether or not we received your ACH form, please call the billing department at 949-367-9430, ext. 229. The next board of directors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13th. An agenda of the meeting will be posted on the community bulletin board at least 4 days prior to the meeting. I look forward to meeting many of you there. In the meantime, please let us know if we can assist you in any way.

You may have noticed the work in progress on the corner of Via Conejo and Via Ortega. The garden is intended to showcase recommended plants for our Village.

We are reaching out to everyone to give us ideas to name the garden.

Also, we will be selling bricks for $50 each to anyone who wishes to have their name engraved on it to place in the garden.  Details to follow.

Our intention is to install two park benches in the garden.  One bench has already been donated and there will be a commemorative plaque on the bench.  Let us know if you are interested in donating a second bench at this time.

Street slurry for Via Conejo has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 24th. This work will include Via Pato/Conejo and Via Ortega/Conejo intersections.

Click here to view an updated map of all remaining work to be performed.

Overnight street parking on Tuesday, May 23rd and Wednesday May 24th is allowed.

Overnight Club parking is allowed from 6 PM Tuesday, May 23rd through 9 AM Thursday, May 25th.

Please remember to return your vehicles to your homes once streets have re-opened as soon as conveniently possible.  Parking in above locations outside of permitted times is subject to towing.
